Logar Valley Natural Park
The Logar valley is seven kilometres long and belongs to the most beautiful sights in Slovenia. It is about 250 m wide, 7 km long and surrounded by over 2000 m high mountain peaks, like the Krofiška, Ojstrica, Lučka Baba, Planjava or Brana. This breath-taking view is already worth the ride! The old farms, which formed this cultural landscape over the centuries, add to the typical character of the valley. Through careful landscape-management the nativeness of the valley remained preserved, which therefore offers numerous natural treasures: Here, for instance, you will find the tallest and most beautiful larches, yew trees, lime trees and elm trees of all Slovenia.
Rinka Waterfall. Here you will finds also one of the highest free falling waterfalls of Slovenia, the Rinka waterfall. The Savinja river, which has it´s springs in the Steiner Alps, falls in 80 m a high arch into a bowl resembling an amphitheatre on the bottom of Mount Okrešelj. Soon after the river seeps in the gravel deposits and shows up only in the lower part of the valley again.
