“Stollenbiken” – A bicycle ride through a mine

A highlight for all mountainbike fans is "Stollenbiken" – a 2 hour guided bicycle tour through an abandoned mine underneath Mt. Petzen. The diiference in elevation is only 15 m, therefore the tour is also easy for average bikers. The old transport-gallery has been especially adapted, so that a ride through them on a mountainbike is easy. However you will be several hundred meters underground – so you should be free of claustrophobia.

Wear warm clothing. You can rent a mountainbike, miner´s helmet and pit lamp at the entrance, but you should not forget to bring warm clothing, because the temperature in the abandoned mine is only 10 degrees Centigrade. The approx.. 7 km long route is an unusual experience, also for children who are 10 years old at least.
