Exactly marked trails and routes created by the Zell/Sele municipality will inspire both recreational hikers and avid mountaineers. The mild climate, the wonderful landscape and the clean environment are everything you need for a relaxing excursion into nature.
A hiker´s paradise. Short trails through an uncomplicated area are perfect for a family trip: In about 1,5 hours from the centre of Zell-Pfarre you can reach the mountain hut “Koschutahaus” (1,279 m above sea level). From here you have a fantastic panorama view over Southern Carinthia and the local meals are also worth a try.

In the middle of the forest you can find the hidden the chapel "Sedlce" - the hike from the Schaidasattel and back takes about an hour.
If you want to hike for a bout 3 hours, you can enjoy the Hainschgraben Water Experience Way. After about 1,5 hours you pass the "Gornik" Observation Mill, where you feel like being transferred back into earlier times.
Very sporty ones should try the hiking trail from Schaidasattel to Mt. Hochobir (2,139 m above sea level), to the hut “Eisenkappler Hütte” and back again to Schaidasattel. For this hike you must plan 6 hours.
